What you experience, what you feel

You're the parent of a teenager or a young adult. You don't recognize your child and feel powerless to help.

You ask yourself a thousand questions: Have I missed something? Am I a good mother? A good father? Have I done enough? I'd so much like to rediscover the closeness I had with him when he was a child. I wish he could talk to someone.

You feel they're lost, with no instructions. They suffer at school, at home. They don't know what they want to do in life. This may be the result of harassment, divorce, disappointment in love or difficulties at school.

My goal

I've been listening to teenagers for over 15 years. It's been a real encounter for me. I've discovered great depth and a real ability to understand and bounce back. It's an age of great vulnerability, and at the same time one of great richness. They carry within them the essence of who they are and what they're going to become. They're like diamonds in the rough, not yet aware of their potential. It's my job to join them in the difficulties they face, and to reflect back to them the brilliance they are.

The sessions

Interview for two

I can welcome you and your child so that you can express yourselves in each other's presence, and perhaps tell each other what you can't say at home.

Individual interviews

I can receive :

  • your child alone in my office. This will be his or her space where he or she can talk in complete confidentiality.

  • you, alone, to talk about your child and what it's doing to you.

Your child may be reluctant to talk to someone he doesn't know, to "see someone". It's important to tell him that talking to a professional listener is surprisingly easy.

This gives us great freedom and security, without the fear of being judged. Our loved ones sometimes have fears and plans for us that prevent us from feeling fully understood.
